Why should I take classes at NextStage?
There is no other organization in the county offering a training program, an environment in which to develop expertise, and a supportive surrounding for aspiring thespians in this age demographic to reach a dream goal. NextStage provides this opportunity.
What are the benefits of taking a NextStage class?
Here are just a few reasons:
Learn a new skill or just have fun
Train in a performing arts discipline
Develop skills to perform with our outreach group
Experience a sense of accomplishment
Make new friends with like minded individuals
Participate in worthy community service events
Why was NextStage Productions established?
The “Age Wave” is upon us and the “new age senior” is vital, healthier and interested in art and culture. NextStage was established to give seniors 50+ opportunities through the performing arts to grow, to improve their health, and to feel a sense of empowerment.
What are students saying about the NextStage program?
"My husband Dave took the musical theatre singing classes and I took the Storytelling and Improv Acting classes. The instructors were so professional. They shared their journeys and led us slowly and with care to a new place. Dave and I felt like we had come home. We realized that “sometime” later was now and NextStage was the platform that allowed us this new feeling. The outstanding instructors taught us to “play” again and enter into a place of laughter and silliness reminding us of our child-like curiosity. NextStage has opened their arms wide to the Senior Community and is changing attitudes towards aging by supporting 50+ by offering fun, exciting performance opportunities."
Nancy Maley, Student of Summer Program 2013
What is average age of the students taking NextStage classes?
